The beginner guide to fitness program (bodhi basics) is the foundation for all of our fitness training programs. This physical education class allows new members to develop a knowledge of the basic principles of working out. All members will graduate with an understanding of proper exercise form, workout structure, and meal planning that will act as a blueprint to a happier healthier you! 

What’s included?

Here’s what’s included in the beginner guide to fitness at bodhi.

Fitness Assessment 

First, we go over your goals. Next, we take you through a full fitness evaluation consisting of a strength, cardiovascular, balance and coordination test. Once completed we suggest a realistic plan that will get you to your goals as fast and as safe as possible.

Functional Movement Screen

What does it mean to MOVE WELL? The screen eliminates the guessing game and tells you what movement quality really is by measuring seven fundamental movements that are key to daily life. It scores individuals in a simple way to determine if their movement patterns are optimal, acceptable or dysfunctional. (taken from www.functionalmovement.com) We are certified coaches and will screen your movement patterns so we can see discover any imbalances that need to be addressed first before you begin your fitness program.

Progressive workout plan

With our AMPED fitness principles in place, you will learn proper exercise form using bodyweight, free weights, kettlebells, and suspension training. As you get better, we advance your training to accommodate and keep you challenged.

Structured exercise program

Every workout consists of stretching techniques, strength training, and cardio components to ensure you are getting the most balanced workout. The beginner guide to fitness program includes two (2) full body strength and conditioning workouts per week. You can read more about the benefits of the bodhi workouts here.

Yoga

We believe in practicing yoga on a weekly if not daily basis, the benefits are life-changing and will help with every other are of your fitness program.  With the beginner guide to fitness program (bodhi basics) you will have one (1) yoga session per week in your account to use whenever you want, free of charge.

The beginner guide to nutrition

We believe nutrition plays a major role in not only weight loss but overall healthy living. “Food is thy medicine, and medicine is thy food” is what Hippocrates said and we strongly agree! You will sit with a certified nutrition coach and get educated on what is ideal for your lifestyle. We don’t believe in fad diets or any drastic food eliminations and will help you understand how to lose weight permanently (if that’s your goal) and live a healthy lifestyle without ever having to go on a “diet” again. You will learn the science behind how your metabolism works and how you can manipulate it to lose weight and keep it of permanently. Our flexible dieting program is built for sustainability and has changed the lives of many.
